CALL FOR A FREE-OF-CHARGE THREE-MONTH SKYPE COURSE OF SERBIAN LANGUAGE

THE PROJECT„ONLINE LEARNING OF SERBIAN AS NATIVE TONGUE“

The Faculty of Philosophy, the University of Niš, and the Serbian Academic Association invite members of the Serbian diaspora, aged 7 to 30 years, to apply for a free individual three-month Serbian online learning Serbian as native tounge. Under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture and Information, we seek to popularize and implement on-line teaching. This project aims to promote the Serbian language amongst the diaspora community via peer education, in other words via individual Skype classes of Serbian language for youths from the diaspora. Classes will be tutored by students from the Department of Serbian Language.

The Call for Applications for  „ONLINE LEARNING OF SERBIAN AS NATIVE TONGUE“

The Call for Applications for interested children and youths from the Serbian diaspora is open from December 12, 2017, to January 17, 2018. The classes are planned to start on January 22, 2018, and end on April 13, 2018. Upon the completion of the course, the participants will receive a certificate.  The certificate will be issued from the Faculty of Philosophy in Niš (denoting the appropriate level of knowledge).

The online classes of Online learning Serbian as a native take place twice a week

The classes take place twice a week, the duration of each class is 45 minutes, at times agreed between teacher and student. The Faculty of Philosophy in Niš and the Academic Serbian Association from the City of Niš will take care that the quality and dynamics of the classes are as previously stipulated. All interested parties should send the application entitled Skype Classes to the Academic Serbian Association to the following email: asasocijacija@gmail.com. Based on the applications, the Serbian Academic Association of the City of Niš will select the teacher-student pairs.

What do students need to have to start with Online learning  of Serbian as a native?

A potential student must have a good computer with speakers and a camera and a good-quality internet connection, as well as basic knowledge of Serbian and English and a desire to learn.
